Dayton Strong

2019 was a rough year for the city of Dayton, Ohio. In May, multiple tornados ripped through the city causing catastrophic damage, and nine lives were taken during a shooting in the Oregon District on August 4th, 2019. I first created this after the tornados hit, but didn’t realize it would be relevant again just a few, short months later.

The Gem City came together in a time of need and helped rebuild a broken community and the broken spirits of those that lost their home or a loved one. Dayton Strong doesn’t even begin to describe how tough this city is.

With the help of a friend and fellow designer, Alexander Wells, we were able to raise $563.92 for the Oregon District Tragedy Fund with the sales of my “Dayton Strong” art prints and his “Do Something” t-shirts.
